Water Quantity
Water quantity pertains to water as it is owned, operated, stored, moved and left in our streams and rivers.
Colorado water law implies that the ownership of water is like the ownership of property. The state operates on the Doctrine of Prior Appropriation, which provides guidelines for the different components of water quantity.
