Executive Director – Steve Swanson
Steve has 30 years of experience working with water and waste-water systems in Summit County, both in the public and private sectors. In the early 1980’s as Administrator of the Breckenridge Sanitation District, he was a member of the original Phosphorus Club for Dillon Reservoir. Steve just completed an eight year term as a Town Council Member for Silverthorne. During his term, he represented the Town as a member of the Clinton Ditch and Reservoir Company and the NWCCOG Water Quality and Quantity Committee. He has previously served as a member of the technical committee for the Snake River Task Force.
PAST STAFF - 2010 OSM/VISTA Watershed Coordinator – John Hagan
John comes to Summit County from the green hills of Oregon where he previously worked on an organic farm outside the small town of Pleasant Hill. John is a graduate of the University of Oregon’s Environmental Studies program, during the course of his studies John specialized in hydrology and water resource management and was involved in several field studies on the Deschutes and Metolius Rivers of central Oregon. While in school, he worked at Mount Pisgah Arboretum, a 270 acre park that operated under several grants with a mission to educate the community about native plants and healthy riparian systems. When John is not hard at work, you can find him on the slopes, deep in the backcountry or with a wooden instrument in his hands.
