  • Colorado River Water Conservation District – The Colorado River Water Conservation District is a public water policy agency chartered by the Colorado General Assembly in 1937 to be “the appropriate agency for the conservation, use and development of the water resources of the Colorado River and its principal tributaries in Colorado.”
  • Colorado River Conservation Board – The Colorado Water Conservation Board (CWCB) represents each major water basin, Denver and other state agencies in our joint effort to use water wisely and protect our water for future generations.
  • Colorado Watershed Assembly – The Colorado Watershed Assembly is a strong proponent for community-driven leadership through cooperation, communication, and consultation.
  • Continental Divide Land Trust – “Continental Divide Land Trust permanently preserves and protects the irreplaceable natural areas in and around Summit County for current and future generations, through land preservation agreements, acquisitions, and public education.”
  • Friends of Dillon Ranger District – A Colorado Nonprofit, providing Local Service and Support to the USFS Dillon Ranger District through Volunteerism and Partnerships.

The Lower Blue River Valley, like all of Colorado, is being pressured by development as agriculture, economics and populations change. The FOLBR are working to protect the environmental quality of the Lower Blue River Valley that has historically characterized this unique part of Summit County.
  • High Country Conservation Center -For 30 years Summit Recycling Project/High Country Conservation Center has been working to provide practical solutions to resource conservation. The original mission to improve awareness and appreciation of our environment and to assist in preservation of same has changed little over three decades.
